France, tu m’as malmené

فرنسا شّومتي حالي (France, tu m'as malmené), 2016.

Neon writing.

A neon-made sentence in which we can read an extract from the popular Tunisian song “Ya Roma” by Nabil Louhichi. This song conveys the passion and grief felt by exiled through their journey: “France you mistreat me!”. The neon is written in the French flag colors and shows what collective memory sings of whom suffer while passing through foreign and hostile, countries.
